The steps are the same in every state. The fees, forms and yearly costs are not. Do the five steps, then open your state guide.
The steps
Pick a name that no other company in your state is using. It must end with LLC or a similar word.
The agent receives legal papers for the LLC. The agent needs a street address in your state.
Send the formation document to your state filing office and pay the filing fee.
This sets out who owns the LLC and how it runs. Most states do not file it.
The IRS issues the tax number your LLC uses to open a bank account and file taxes.
